Kuhn Axis spreader issues

Started to have issues with our Kuhn Axis 30.1 QE,
First off, over last couple of years one actuator ‘sticks’ and doesn’t open for a few minutes (control box says fault with actuator) and then tends to free up after a while (box then says actuator is fine), this happened this year when I put spreader on last week and I got it all working, fast forward to today and get into field with load of fert on and actuator doesn’t work, and after a lot of messing about, still won’t work.
Another issue that’s happened today was that speed reading on box dropped off intermittently, whilst the Patchwork was working fine.
All connections and wiring looks fine with no obvious faults.
Machine is 12 years old and starting to get some rust patches, is it worth it to potentially have to put a new actuator on (maybe even a wiring loom?) or should I be looking a for younger replacement?

Was on a farm yesterday with a 9yr old Kuhn spreader where the actuator had just packed up. £900 to repair it. He was a bit annoyed as he had already done a deal to swap for a new one before it broke.

Pull connector apart from where the actuator wire connects to the loom, should be a push connector. Make sure contacts are all good and clean with no rust. Spray liberally with contact spray and try again.. cured ours!

All sorted, I disconnected actuator from shutter mechanism and it worked perfectly, turns out shutter was a bit stuck when closed, now freed off and working again!

12 years out of the actuators aint bad, I thought some were replacing every 3 years or so! Not the best and multiple designs over the years...
These have been on about 6 years, the older type didn’t last long, these newer ones are much better

We get that does it shut itself off ?
Yes. Normally just power box off and on then it works again. Sometimes the numbers showing the slide position start jumping about. I always try to keep an eye on them.

Dealer service manager was going to speak to Kuhn rep about it but haven't got anything back yet.

Haven't used it yet this season.

This....

New superseal plugs are a few pounds, had trouble with one a couple of years ago, identical symptoms to yours.

Also had to change actuators in the past too but not recently.

When ours does it I found if you clean the curved part on the spreading disc where the fert dust builds up that sometimes helps also don’t bother switching the box off just carry on with the warning on there is shouldn’t shut it’s self off either then ?
