MVF have slashed their opening hours today.
Why not state why? Because that would not be scaremongering!

They have reduced their opening hours by yep an whole 2 hours
Direct from the CEO the reason being, to allow staff to safely restock with the 2 meter social distancing in place and so they dont have to work longer hours than necessary in these stressful times.

I ave £2.19 585 kg in Thirsk today. Fairly happy with that given current circumstances. 152 clean and 42 bulls, thats all I know at moment as not spoke to auctioneer yet.

What would these of graded dead? Expenses off these and they don't add up well against store sales in Cumbria. I think i read you go across the 66.

Brace yourself for beef prices to be back next week. Chills full and processors don't want stuck with beef if they don't have the staff to process it. Still demand in the shops but I suppose all this panic buying will eventually calm down. Distribution may also be an issue as @Treg says.

Anyone heard a deadweight price for ewes? I can't see the sheep price downturn lasting any longer than mid-April with Ramadan just round the corner.

Would these staff be able to get home? I thought we were on lockdown.

Yes British people are under lockdown.

But flights to and from places like Spain/ America/ Italy etc are carrying on like normal.

No checks our end and anyone flying in do not have to self isolate.

Which just shows what a complete load of BS this lockdown is and it certainly isn't to save lives but more about controlling the population!

Well sid needs to do some maths lessons as they are shutting 1.5 hours early and opening half an hour later everyday except Sundays when it will be closing at 2 pm so I make that 2 hours a day!

Bad job they didn't give customers at least a days notice via txt etc as many people will have turned up after 4 pm today and they are shut which means another journey tomorrow which is just what the government don't want people to do..

I was in store today to get a few things urgently needed.

that was at 5pm.

no mention of early closing or reduced hours.

I’ll wait to see what happens.

I did type 2 hours but phone changed it.

It's for staff SAFETY

I rang before I was going to make sure what I wanted was going to be put out. For staff SAFETY.
All I got was answermessge so i rang the Managers mobile, and he told me basics if what was happening. So I double checked, take note DOUBLE CHECKED with CEO personally.

Staff safety so they can stay open!
