Dragged trailer No2 out of the shed, 2nd load it bust the tipping pipe @ full tip, covered the tractor, then late afternoon the body decided to part company with the chassis and slide in the dyke, at least the tractor survived, trailer could be in there a while, still loaded, so might have to remove it with the oxy/actylene
Going spraying tomorrow, had enough of moving earth
we all have days and weeks like this where things go wrong.

If you need to talk drop us a pm
Farming isn't easy especially when things test us like this.

If anyone is feeling low at these times or just wants to talk the door is always open.

Broke the glass tractor door today. Pure carelessness, hauling a panel in the loader watching right side, door open, drove through a gateway, hear a creakpoof to the left. At noon after cleaning glass up all morning neighbor stops and wonder if the sheep are free range grazing, sheep pushed a panel and all over feed piles, bales, cracked corn pile. Adding fluid to hydraulic jack yesterday, jacked it up and let done to check, pulled plug and splat, slick clean oil face wash. Glad to hear not only me. Keep the courage.

Not quite so funny today ...
Loud bang and bed chain stops going .
The OH didn't want to empty it by hand for me so I improvised

Short description: drilling some beans.

Long description:

Despite all the usual caresses that normally get her going, nothing would bring the horsch box to life. 'Oh well, suppose I'll just use the front hopper- sure to be ok with 300kgs/ha'. Rig up and off we go.

2nd run..
'Why is that wheel the front hopper runs on gone all wobbly?' Oh well, I'll take them off, and hold it with the links, not in float, but need to sort out spools at back. Have a play around, and work out that I can disconnect markers and fold lines, and pick drill up on other one. Plug it in, lift drill up and it spits it out with drill in the air...

Get covered in oil.

Drill 5 ha. 'I'm sure I should have used a bit more seed than that...'

Oh and some pipes fell off.

And I struggled for penetration with empty rear hopper.

And I had numerous blockages in the head caused by lumps of fert crud from somewhere in the front hopper pipe.

Tomorrow is another day!
