All our dealers are closed except for parts to be sent out or left out for you to collect, New machines are being cancelled , the price of beef and lamb and pork have all dropped this week, the breweries are closed , no need for malting barley , I think a lot of dealers who were living on the edge could go belly up. Can they survive this disaster , I hope they do as we need them all.

we are offering all dealers use of www.classifieds.farm for free to try and help - the ability to do video walk round of machines etc is as good as you can while not actually being able to physically view a machine

anyone interested (no string / catches). contact @Mark Hatton the TFF classifieds manager

Cheers! Nice looking baler!

I don't see any krone balers down here, is that a veri baler?
Yes variable up to 1.5 metres. We do nearly everything at 1.2 metres, but want a tight centre baler, so a roller baler not as good. This has belts and slats rather than just belts.

I’ve been a fan of Krone kit for a while. It isn’t cheap, but I like the quality and service. KFS (Krone farm Services) are based in Leeds with depots all over the Country. They now also sell Deutz tractors and Lemken cultivation equipment.

That sounds like a New Holland with a half web and belt system, if its as good as that you'll have really good bales.

The only thing I saw with them balers was a heck of a racket when the chamber was empty and starting to fill.

Couple of contractors have them here and produce nice tight bales.

Thank goodness my Indy mechanic is still working . Being sensible and keeping away from him while he’s here.
One of his customers wants his combine going through now, as he’s convinced there will be no parts available from Claas. Understandably he’s not keen to start on combines just yet .

I have had a tractor on special order since last November it arrived in the country last week brilliant! I also have a cabbage planter ordered paid for and not built yet in Italy and a bedtiller ordered and paid for in UK seemed like a good idea two months ago. If you had told me all this was going to happen I might have planned things differently.

I haven’t got my Valtra yet as the new tractor it’s being replaced by has been delayed because the MX loader to go on it was in France for longer than expected and took longer to arrive from the port.

Saw a post on Facebook today from class bragging that they are still shipping 20 foragers and over 100 tractors a day, combines as well. Made it sound like business as normal!

Spot on there James, its not always what you make but what you spend that makes the difference
Millionaires do not like spending money. I know a transport company who gave the drivers a phone but docked the cost of any private calls, including if they phoned their wife to say they would not be home tonight as given another load.

I was rather relieved when they turned up here to put a new radiator on my manitou last week.
We had discussed the possibility of having the old one re done but as there was no guarantee that it would be fixable and not knowing what the future situation would be with parts supply or lockdown I thought it best to go straight for a new one whilst we could get one even if it did cost more.

They’ve been a god send to me this week, having not seen them for a while, I’ve had two bad breakdowns. First one Huw was here within the hour , then rang him last night and he would’ve come straight out, but I said don’t worry about that. He was here first thing this morning.
