I am thinking of liquid digestate, some store it old slurry lagoons and other dig a big hole and line it. anyone know the rough cost?

Very good on OSR, does seem to get away from CSFB not sure why. some say flea beetle doesn't like the smell.!

As above, I would not be paying for it if it was me. And I would not take digestate from anyone taking municipal food waste because of the potential for plastic contamination.
You should not need to buy much P and K ever again. Dose in the autumn and a dose in the spring on the crop, if it is dry enough.

Do you know anyone charging to take it?
They are wanting me to put in a lagoon for it. I'm not doing it. Have hard standing just off main roads.
What are people's thoughts on applying it in winter and ploughing it in for following spring crops? We aren't in a Nvz so there keen to put on here.

I would put a lagoon or tower in. Take the money and it will be paid for in no time and then it is yours. The value of the nutrients would pay for any amount of tankers, umbilical or storage.

We don't own any land. Don't think landlords would be keen. As I understand it the stuffs so powerful you cannot apply it every year or it will lock up other nutrients

If that’s the same company that was at the show in February my neighbour took a lot of it, he showed me the analysis there not much in it they ploughed it down , think it would be better spread on top after sowing though?

Get a analyse on product it can vary from plant to plant
It’s very good feed for crops problem can be getting it at optimum time be it growth stage or ground conditions economics if you have storage go for it

Speak to your local green tractor dealer. They did all their stubble before ploughing for SB. I would imagine putting it after would give loads of wheeling and compaction?
The digestor company built a 12000T lagoon on our land free of charge, apply it free of charge, and charge us for the N, P and K at 50% of what it would cost in the bag.
They use an umbilical system to apply it with 24m booms, first application in early April, then the wheat get second application at end of April early May.
It is classed as fertiliser as passes the PA110 specification, we find it is helping in the drought this year too.

Just be aware that a lined lagoon, the solids will separate out and you will be left with a sludge in the bottom which reduces the capacity each year to the point where you have to dig it out with a slew and 99% likely to damage liner and have to replace . Same with the bags .
