I’m really struggling to find a litter of Jack Russells. Does anyone know of any in Scotland/North England? Thanks in advance.
Me too! I thought I'd find some easily, but it seems like they are in very short supply. I'll let you know if I find any.

Had a litter i wasnt expecting, other half was bad with corona 19 and i was lambing, missed bitch on season/ mated. Pupped saturday night, whilst staying up with her i posted an advert on a web site i have used before at 2 am. As sheared all sheep the day before i was shattered, only got up at 8 am, had missed about 8 enquiries by then. Had 45 enquiries in 24 hours. Real bonus as i could eliminate the corona puppy candidates and choose proper dog people. Amazed jacks minimum price is 600 quid and upto 1100. Sold mine at 750 as happy medium

My bitch is the sweetest natured JR I have ever known.

Must be from a different strain to my JR. To everyone she likes she's 'adorable'. To everyone else, she's a "crabbit wee bitch!" ?

As for the suggestion above to use a Kennel Club breeder, it was a disaster the day the KC 'accepted' JR's. Those idiots have barstewardised every other breed with their stupid caricature 'standards', it's only a matter of time before the fools breed the spark out of the Jack Russell.

I'd be very interested in a decent, honest jack Russell pup before the end of the summer if anybody has any however, I remember when they were £50 if not free for a pup and there's no way in the world I'd pay hundreds and hundreds of pounds for one when there's so many dogs in rescue centres desperate for a home!
I had my first jack when i was 17, 25 years ago. I claim it cost us £1,800 and dad got a lim bull free!! Had first litter from that jack, harry, or harriet 2/3 years later and got 125 pounds a pup. All sold to friends, before i had a moblie and certainly before internet and puppy trading websites!! Every bitch i would breed 2, maybe litters to keep a girl and keep line going, supply friends and probably if a litter of 6 or 7 advertise and sell 1 or 2. Madge my oldest girl, now 6, couldnt find a dog to her standards until we found and bought norman. Had a litter a year ago, litter of 8, 7 boys 1 girl. Had 4 friends waiting for 3 girls 1 boy.So advertised , looked on website and went mid range on price and charged 450. Sold like hot cakkes, but did my research, as best as can be done, all new owners on whatsapp group and they are spoilt rotten. Great homes. As i wanted a girl we had second and last litter from madge 11 days ago, boy heavy again, as waiting up with her pupping looked on web site and pups between 600 and 1000. Many of them far from pure jacks, put on at 750 and now had must be 110 enquiries. Admit plenty saying any pups left ? In message, who dont get a reply, had 12 or more that had lost jacks in last 12/18 months that are now ready for new jack, send videos of garden, adjoining fields, games with last pet. Great for me as can comfortably eliminate corona puppy situation, but this scenario has created a price tag so id be amazed if you find a pup for less than hundreds of pounds, and im not saying that right. Also if you do, and i hate to say it, unless from a local farm , but seen on puppy website then at that price it will in all liklehood be from a puppy farm, sold from a new home. Fully back your views of buying from dogs homes, tragedy they are in existence, but breeds like jacks are often a real problem sourced from there. So many perfect dogs end up there sadly, but many jacks, and dogs that in wrong hands or bred from poor breeders are not suitable to rehome through no fault of their own
