Growth reg spring barley

Can those with the knowledge give me the pros and cons of growth regulator on spring barley this year the mix I’m planning is herbicide wild oat and broadleaf with fungicide trace elements
I’m hearing it might be a hot mix with the added drought and straw will stunt quite badly we have heavy clay soils

Just to clarify this in my head, you want to apply a wild oat herbicide, a blw herbicide, a fungicide, some trace elements and a PGR all in one tank mix? Might as well chuck the kitchen sink in and be done with it ;)
'Hot' might be an understatement given the stress the crop is likely under from the lack of moisture. I would be splitting that lot up into separate applications!

Can you list the products and rates? As above, that's too much in one go. A couple of days between passes should be ok. Don't mix CMPP with manganese chelates. Do the products with the earliest cut off growth stages first. Actually scrap that - you either need a new agronomist or ought to get one in the first place. That's far too hot a mix.

Just get it on. Don't listen to experts on here.

Sue your agronomist if it damages crop, and show him what the tff experts said.

I've been putting on a similar mix, less the w. Oat spray this morning and its 24 degrees here.

The wild oat spray is the problem. I did oskar two weeks ago by itself and it definitely did something to decent barley.

Why ask if he is not going to listen to experts on here, or if he doesn't like the answer.
My view is as above. I would question the need for growth reg at all if no rain in the forecast.

We have some planet that has plenty of blw. Not had anything yet. Will put avro plus cmpp on. Leave fung and manganese for a few days. Reluctant to put anything on as it is so dry. Weeds vary in growth stage.

Watch the cut off growth stages for each herbicide. Spring barley will race from stems erect to 2nd or 3rd node detectable very quickly assuming there's moisture under it. Axial for wild oats is ok until GS 41. Many of the other herbicides can't be used beyond GS31.

I wouldn't describe it as 'hot'.

I am not adverse to big tank mixes but I would definitely describe the proposed mixture as: 'ballsy'.

Or a new one!!!!
That sound like a bit of a Chernobyl mix to me[emoji50]

In ideal conditions that lot might all be ok, given the stress these crops are likely to be under from the heat on days like today I doubt spraying all of it on in 1 go will make it looks particularly happy for a while.
