Looking for some suggestions for new ram this year. They lamb outside and looking for easy lambing. Will be crossed with Easycare and Mules mainly. Thinking of a Lleyn, any suggestions?

Texel is hardly easy lambing?
EasyTexels (NZ genetics) are definitely easy lambing and very different to normal UK Texels. 80% + buyers of them are lambing outdoors. On our website there is a buyers location map page ( google map) showing locations of our clients for you to see where they are in your area.https://www.easy-rams.co.uk/EasyRam_Locations
In terms of Lleyns Performance Lleyns are based in Devon and have the highest performing Lleyn flock in the country by a country mile and are really nice people. Only issue (if it is important to you)is that their Lleyns are not registered with the Lleyn Sheep Society as they prefer to spend their cash on Performance recording FEC count analysis etc than on society membership fees.

I source my Lleyn rams from Performance Lleyn. Very interesting guy to go talk to.

I sell a few Lleyn rams each year sired by his rams. All lambed outside in Feb/March.

If got wool-shedders , why not keep running for replacements ? I haven't , so used a SuffTexT ram lamb from EasyRams on my Lleyn based , incl Charley mish mash , crew . 75 STT lambs born to my small lot , ALL born alive ...... One triplet decided to succumb at 24 hrs , and a set of twins (know born prem) , despite s/tubing etc etc didn't make it . Not too bad a result for an old prat who doesn't look at ewes from 10pm - 6.30am !!! That's a 4% loss rate !!!! Let Robyn find you a ram !! The few that lambed to the old Lleyn and a B Tex were more of a pita !

If anyone is looking for a high performing Lleyn tup I have the highest indexed recorded Lleyn flock in the country and look to maximise their practical traits as well. Nearly all the tups for sale will be top 1% on index and will make a sound maternal buying decision. Have a look at www.performancelleyns.co.uk for further details. I am also very happy to discuss things further on the phone.
just judging on looks a cracking even bunch of shearlings in that video of '2019 stock forsale' all fine heads and narrow shoulders, (y)

I run lleyns, all lamb outside at around 1000 ft, very few problems at lambing ,
all grass reared lambs, ewes are really milky and hardy, only thing I can fault them for is being a bit more prone to mastitis due to being milky, but they are great for low input system like mine
