MMA WELDER

Hi, has anybody on here bought a Lincoln Bester 210 Nd MMA welder? Can't find much user reviews about them on the internet. Wanted a portable durable welder around the 200A mark. I know Lincoln Electrics are renowned for their welders but this is priced at the bottom end of the market compared to their other ranges. Just wondering if it was a Chinese poorly built welder with a good name stuck on the side. If not I might consider one. TIA

It's definitely a Chinese welder with a good name on the side.

However... most of them are, these days. These newer bester inverters are getting positive opinions on mig-welding forum so maybe do what you want?

Chinese machines have pretty decent performance nowadays, even cheaper ones... just not as reliable as some... personally I stick with good brands but that's me

Anyone know any about Telwin Technology Tig 171 inverter. Positive or Negative, it doesn't matter. What are the capabilities around general farm maintenance and repairs.

Thank you, I've got a bit of a dilemma on my hands. Either buy the Bester or similar or go for the one I should buy, the kemppi minarc Evo 180, can't justify if for doing the odd repair and the odd projects now and again really or is it worth the money that would see me for years?

The minarc is worth the money. We have a much older minarc 150 in the workshop at work, it's at least 12 years old and gets battered about on all sorts, and I've had a coded welding team use it for 8 hour shifts in confined spaces at least twice.

There's loads of good inverters on the market, including chinese ones, but some are still better than others... the Kemppi is one of the best IMO
