So do we follow a good trade and send next week because caterers should in theory be stocking up on meat so lamb should hold or atleast rise next week or is next week a Big Dipper because everybody’s going too send???
That is the big question isn't it! I wouldn't expect a rise when historically the trade starts to slide now every year as more grass lambs come forward, especially after this latest flush of grass.
I can see more numbers forward next week, few of my mates have all done the same thing this week "lamb is only just over £2, bugger em lets get some grass down while the suns out!" Although talking to one tonight, he's gathering at 6 tomorrow to draw lambs for Bakewell and he can be back home before the dew burns off. We shall see, I'd like a crystal ball but if I had one I'd probably cock it up! ?

these covid outbreaks at the processing plants isnt going to help , either public confidence or supply / demand at market level . Im holding for now except a few culls to go friday i withdrew creep about month ago , going to be a need for whole of europe to restock when holiday trade / travel opens up properly so cant see prices slipping too far , probably be stand on for a while,

Cracking trade at thrapston today with plenty of shapley lambs at £2.50/kg, no discount for weight either, mine were plainer sorts (out of mules) but got the below so very happy.
