Yep I know they don't it's just an extra buyer that buys quite a few that pushes trade along. There must be other reasons but there is a disparity in trade on bulls it seems between Thirsk and darlo
Quite a lot of bulls pass thirsk to go to darlo from near me, but would be if lesser quality to what you are talking of.

A lot of faithful Darlo clean and bullsellers are turning up in Northallerton though, there and Thirsk are getting better top prices week after week, gross and ppk.They’ve been hit hard recently. The trouble is the report shows the top price but nobody is there to see the sharp knocks etc. On average people can’t be happy or they wouldn’t be moving

There’s a few gone back to Darlington now tho...it’s more the payment terms which people weren’t pleased with...payment terms will go back to how they were at some point

Store cattle trade today at Sedge had to be seen to be believed, just about the dearest store trade ever seen at the centre for many years if not ever!
Heifers/ Angus and Fri cattle trading at exceptional money!
On the ewe breeding sale on Thurs at Sedge, trade was just mental and from what I was told today prices across the board just about broke all records and far exceeded vendors expectations!

Sheep look a decent trade in gisburn today. I would usually put them 15p below to be fair on the mixed show they get too from smallholder types on a Saturday.
