Rain at Dundee from 20.00 last night until 0800 this morning, along with some massive rumbles of thunder and wild lightening

Now it’s a cracking day, not a cloud in the sky and the sun is beating down

Had a lucky escape here only got 10mm. lot of thunder and lightning though. 15/20 mile away they had 100mm. Car park at kirkcaldy hospital severey flooded, cars been floating around and piled up on top of one another. Perth had a lot of rain as well

Hearing some horrid news out of Stonehaven - high speed train derailed and multiple casualties, perhaps fatalities. Word is that a bridge had been washed out, causing the derailment.

BBC report appropriately cautious, but local reports filling in some gaps.
