Most trailer will have a swivel eye but it will onle help in a slow roll over such as when tipping. When the whole thing starts to bounce and then snake.....

Would it realy snake
Car trailers do but never had it with trucks drawbar or artic
Or tractors ok ive only gone 40-45 down hill in in gods gear
More possible got a bounce on
Or just over braked etc etc
Out in a jacknife will go over when going at speed what ever drawbar

a badly loaded draw bar trailer behind a truck will snake and boss the lorry about

What is wrong with those tyres? They are everywhere and surely able to cope with any load and speed combination??

It's a triaxle trailer behind a Fastrac. I wouldn't like to guess the gross weight if it had been full of grain? How much is a Fastrac and triaxle empty?
Weight + continuous speed = a lot of heat. Might be nothing wrong with the tyres if they 're rated for the speed and weight, if they 're not you 've can see the result. Know of 2 outfits that don't wear out floations as they blow out first, lots of heavy road work.

A K two triple axle compactor trailer has a capacity of 42m3, without greed boards, 42m3 of wheat will weigh 33 tonnes +9.25 tonnes unleaded weight of trailer. 42 tonnes. Tyres listed in Brocher are rated between 6 and 6.3 tonnes each 6.3 × 6= 37.8 tonnes, so tyres are over loaded! Chuck in some high speed heavy braking and trailer instability, no wonder they would give in.
With the weight to the Fastrac included, gross weight of over 50 Tonnes surely not legal?

The mower is only 2-3ft into the carriageway. Any competent driver, driving within his abilities, should have been able to avoid hitting it. There must be tens of thousands of field gateways and private drives where the tractor or car has to poke his "nose" out that far before they have a clear view of the road.
for all we know there could have been a car coming the other way, hitting the mower might have been the lesser of the two evils. plus if traveling at say 60 mph you would be surprised how far you would travel by the time your brain had registered seeing the mower and actually steering to try and avoid it.

Apparently it was a double blow out one tire then taking the second one with it .The driver was the owner of the vehicle with his wife was the passenger . Do you honestly think they were driving like prats when You got a precious cargo on board husband and wife Both are in hospital I wish them a speedy recovery . Doesn’t blow out’s happened to any vehicles some comments going on (people who live in glasshouses should not throw stones.)

Yep hopefully they are OK, but I think we can see that trailer with that amount of corn on the road was not operating within the rules for agriculture weight on our roads.

So what weigh was in the trailer, just to clear it up

most flotation tyres are speed rated just looked at our nokians it says 30kph max so put them behind fastrac at 60kph spells trouble

Why are people buying these bloody tyres if they aren't rated for the speeds a modern tractor can go??? You would think the manufacturer would be worried about the legal position of selling a machine with a limitation like that on it?? Someone could have been very badly hurt in this accident.

not clear of all traffic, if a lorry catches a loader it would be very nasty

Happened to a double decker school bus a while back.
