Not actually today but last week, forgot to post them. Car was getting a bit noisy and tappety so needed a set of lifters and waret pump and timing belt was slightly overdue

Professional mecanics look away now...
Aftermarket flywheel did not have a timing mark on! Lined camshaft up with flat tool, pin in injector pump and marked the flywheel to line up with peg. Now whenever I do belts I always mark the old one to pulleys, lay new on old and transfer marks and count teeth just in case.

Correctly you should always take the cam gear off the tapper, set everything up and re fit but everytime I leave them with the argument that if it was starting up before it should again. This time I needed camshaft out so had to remove said gear so extra mark just in case!!!

Then cam out, new lifters, cam back in quickly and new belt!!
