John Deere 6175 premium radio Bluetooth disconnects

We've got a 2019 6175r with the 4600 display and premium radio. 2 or 3 times a day during use the Bluetooth disconnects and it switches back to the radio, it doesn't say 'bluetooth disconnected' it just jumps over to the radio and won't automatically reconnect as if it briefly loses power?? I have to turn the head unit off and then back on, then it reconnects and works as normal... Anyone else had these issues? And anyone else have any fixes? I was going to get a Bluetooth aux adapter but then I lose the armrest controls, so want to avoid that if I can.

No fix but the radio in a 8270r that I drive from time to time does similar. It’s a 2019 model too.

it randomly drops out. Sometimes as much as 2 times per hour. Always says my phone is paired to it and only way to get back on is through phone settings.

Deere as usual couldn’t give a toss here about it.

Yeah I was hoping it might have been something to do with my phone, but pretty sure it is the head unit... However with me it always shows it as disconnected and if I try to reconnect through the display it never connects properly. Weird thing not to work, never really had anything else with a problem like that??

Yeah it's a shame they didn't put much time into getting it to work well and reliably. Although if I press and hold the power button so it turns it right on and off, this does fix it every time and when it is working it does work well. But obviously nobody should expect a dodgy Bluetooth radio nowdays on a near brand new anything...

OnePlus 6T, I'm kinda hoping it is a phone issue as I'm changing it later this year anyway. By the lack of posts on this in forums it does make you wonder if it's a phone thing...

I have a Motorola Moto G which cuts in and out in the middle of a phone call on my 6145R with premium radio (17 plate). I have a 19 plate 6130R and saved the premium radio price and had a parrot kit fitted for the phone which is miles better.

Its junk. Might as well option no factory radio and just fit a quality aftermarket system. Its been crap since they decided to fit them.

You wouldn't dare try a software update on the CRU as they usually brick the radio.

You might be able to remove the headset now but its on the can bus so need software with radio deleted. The older R you could remove them.

To my knowledge.

Samsung Galaxy S9, 2017 JD 6250R, cuts off bluetooth roughly once a day, didnt do it at all today, did it twice yesterday, no idea why.
Yeah that's exact same as me, if it reconnected pretty quick and didn't make a fuss I would be bothered, it's just the pain of reconnecting it all...

Yeah mines got the 4 holes round the edge which I assume you can stick pins in to remove it, but it's not worth the hassle to me, maybe something to do down the line... It's a shame cause it sounds great when it's working.....

I can cope with once a day, usually just switch off bluetooth on phone, then turn it on again, reconnect and carry on playing whatever I'm listening to, given the autosteer is steering the tractor the 15 seconds or so that takes is ok. If it started doing it every 20 minutes I would probably get a bit peed off 😄

Easiest thing to do is use a Bluetooth usb aux dongle as they work great, had one in our last 6170r as it had no Bluetooth and for music and stuff it worked great, the only reason I stick with the JD stuff currently is to still use the armrest controls

Running iPhone XR here. Just had it disconnect after less than 5 minutes. If this was my tractor the dealer would be hearing about it. Thankfully I own nothing Deere.

used to drop out on a 2015 8320r I used for 18 months also.
