ok stupid question , is there an easy way to get the plastic backing off a tube patch without ripping edge of patch off ?

is there an easy way to get the plastic backing off a tube patch without ripping edge of patch , off tube , dont know why they dont split the back , I allowed it to dry all afternoon , still lifted the edge getting it off !

You need to give it a good rauming with one of these

If it doesn’t come off easily I just leave them on. If you try as soon as you’ve rolled the patch on and it just slightly peels the edge up you can always roll it back down again

dont forget to let the glue go off a bit before putting the patch on


could be mending punctures is a bit of a dark art like sharpening shearing gear...:cautious:
