Maybe not potatoes, but indicates not plant the headlands. A point shown up by ADAS Boxworth when research undertaken in response to the introduction of compulsory set aside in 1992. The outside 12 - 24 metres of a field loses all the profit generated by the middle of the field..
Better off chopping the trees down round the outside 🤔😂, to be fair we have a dig chunk going into HLS scheme next year to remove low yielding parts of fields.

Saw a load of fields of Spring Wheat still standing the other weekend up past Banbury way, not sure what the score was there, not as if we havent had the weather to get it cut. Most odd

we’ve still got the May sown spring barley to cut. And some mauled in crap wheat !!
got one combine bogged last night .... had to get the digger to ease her out.

another 1/2” rain last night :-(

Ive high hope of combining it still

but lesson here is....... don’t drill in May !!!

Finished today!... do i get a prize for being last?

Late drilled and only just got ready, in fact some still green in which the straw chopper did a better job better than the ripe stuff, about 0.7T/ac and 14% moisture.

Someone has to bring up the rear - no shame!! You are not last. Down my way there is some Millet, Soya and a bit of Linseed to go yet.
