You need to tell us what weight they are to start with and what was their mother.
If they weigh around 35kg and out of decent sized ewes then you can expect over a kg per week.
If they are small Lleyn or Welsh then probably half that.
You shouldn't need any corn!!

how long you keeping them?

if you really want good gains i would use a injectable wormer (i use cydectin LA with my gimmers but long withdrawl) and give them multi vits, at least then you have ticked 2 reasons why the weight gains may not be as expected!

at this time of year or perhaps another month depending on ground conditions/location i would also consider fluking them.

yes not really expensive and i think there well worth it just to top them up especially if you want them growing fast, i do my lambs at first worming in spring with them and am certain it has improved growth rates early on and you tend to get less later on failing to thrive if you give them every month or so.

i got mine most recently from here, there prices are unbeatable on most stuff.

Why an injectable particularly? The ai in them is no different to that in a drench, but the long tail-off in the likes of Cydectin LA is fantastic for fast tracking worm resistance.

I don’t let any sheep onto the farm without a quarantine drench of Zolvix/Startect, and the same would especially apply if I was to buy in store lambs.
