Just went to start my 6330 this morning & it ran for a couple of minutes, then I stopped it, went to restart & it wasn’t turning over(stuck at tdc) then it started, clouds of white smoke coming out of the exhaust & smelling of coolant. Levels are all normal still & oil is still black. Head gasket?

Standard, I think it’s the head gasket for sure. Mechanic said it’s done well to make it to 7500 hrs on original gasket for a 30 series

Ours blew like a a steam train when it went. It was on a dual carriageway. Was still under warranty. Dealer recovered it that time.

My 6420s did the same every morning and was a nightmare to start on cold morning. It eventually cleared. It had head gasket done too.

Non-common rail? My common rail 6420 is the best cold starting tractor I have had.

Not sure to be honest. Was a 05.

They did head gasket and made no difference! Turned out it was a seal somewhere in fuel system letting fuel back.

Still wanted paid for head gasket repair funnily enough. Despite them diagnosing that as problem.
