You couldnā€™t make it up šŸ˜” The Chair of Red Tractor has sold out all members. Whilst she is happy to take farmers hard earned money whilst tying them in ever tighter knots she is happy to vote against food imports having to meet the standards of the organisation she presided over in the UK. Surely her position is untenable and she should either fall on her sword or be booted out.

All of the hoops and tape theyā€™ve put upon farmers to ā€œupā€ standards yet she goes and p!sses on everyoneā€™s chips... imagine what the french would do if this happened to them!!!

How much more evidence do you people need that RT is run entirely for the benefit of the supermarkets and the processors, and not the producers?

The power is in your hands, just leave. If you all stop paying them they disappear. If you stay you're effectively saying you like being shat on from a great height.
Yes it's that simple.

Of course it is, I don't know why its so hard to understand.

Time to get rid of it and just let customers ask for their own requirements.

Supermarkets and processors will have requirements of course but at least you can pick and choose who you sell to.

It's utterly disgraceful and makes a mockery of the standards we are having to adhear too. I'm with you all, I really am but, how do you not do RT, I can tell them to pee off with the beef and lamb it doesn't make a huge difference in the market provided the animals are well finished, But If I did the same with the dairy side my buyer wouldn't collect and i'd be left with an unsaleable product as all the dairies are handcuffed into assurance by the supermarkets.
