Red OAT should be fully compatible with Coolgard, but do check that I’m correct before purchase. Yes, I know you want a readymix but it only takes ten minutes to mix 20 litres of ready to use from a concentrate and save a huge dollop of cash.

I don't think Coolgard is OAT, if that is correct you can't mix it with the red OAT stuff, can you?

Also the Coolgard has distilled water in it and it is suitable to leave in for 5 years.

OAT is exactly that. Organic Acid Technology long life coolant. Colour doesn't really matter.
Ethylene Glycol and either of Coolgard or OAT certainly don't mix, although EG and 'hybrid'OAT may do.

Qman -

The Red OAT is also a long life Mono Ethylene Glycol Extended life antifreeze which uses inhibitors employing organic acid technology (OAT) to provide long lasting corrosion protection for up to 5 years or 150 000 miles:

· Exceeds British Standard BS 6580:2010 and ASTM D3306 type 1

I thought the Cool gard was also ASTM D3306, but it's been ages since I looked.
All Antifreeze recommend that they are diluted with Deironized, Distilled water etc. Do users follow those guide line, probably not!

That said, I'd recommend not mixing them, it's usually best to switch oils / Antifreeze from empty wherever possible.
