Yeah. Its interesting. When I worked in the usa on the custom harvesting job, I arrived in February and immediately were harvesting Guar beans in texas, and came home at the end of November and left them finishing Milo in texas. They said they could find harvesting for 10 months of the year.

Got to watch for chaff build up on the gearbox. Quite common apparently.
Class combine engineers have warned me about that ,so I blow off the top of the gearbox every couple of days, the trouble is it is difficult to get to with compressed air lance , so I have a short and longer lance to reach it.

I just looked at it, not sure it's very accurate, in Asia for instance, it says in Thailand the rice harvest is March, April, May, yes you will see combines running then in the central area, north/south of BK, but they can get at least 2 crops a year in that area and combines will run most months other than the depths of the wet season. In other parts the main rice harvest is oct, Nov and Dec, I've seen the farmers queuing at the rice mills many times, farmers on one side of the road delivering rice and trucks queuing on the other side waiting to load up with milled rice.

Where should I put a thread "Where in the world are you combine harvesting today", it would be very interesting if we got some pics of combines working from around the Globe, harvesting different crops as well as the common wheat and barley , even if it was one or two pics a month.
