At Nick Champions sale they were making £50 a bale for nice meadow hay . 120x90 x8' long
The clearance % of straw looks high, maybe them at sedge Moor that didn't sell (didn't meet reserve) new the value of what they had after all.
You would need to be very desperate for business to turn up at a cattle market loaded with straw on a lorry and risk being dragged up to some shyte hole by a successful bidder that everyone else has quoted high too allowing for possible damage and the 1.5 hour unload. Those that do sell straw this way would need a good reserve to allow for the above possibility.
And that is what always happens. Been there as a teenager.

I would be quite happy if all my customers were on similar access roads and the unloading area as clean. Lots of places you have to catch your straps from falling in sh!t and walk around to find a semi clean place to chuck them on the floor to wind up.Edited for you.......sounds like you been to my place
