Today's New Toy.

Been like a kid waiting for Christmas knowing this was coming.

Ex demo, fully loaded stage v l4220.

Overkill for our requirements, but we are big fastrac fans, with this being our 3rd after a 2135 and a 2170.

Staggeringly smooth, a really lovely thing 160 hours on her, the only gripe is done typical JCB black paint issues to sort out. View attachment 923358

Not had any black paint issues on the 3x tier 4s we’ve had, I think the chassis are made and painted by GKN though so none of the black is painted by JCB anymore?

My new toy to today, a very expensive hammer ! I've had a titanium hammer for a few years but the head has mushroomed so treated myself !

The quality of paints whatever they are used for is appalling this day and age,so much for progress.

Not sure I agree with that. Some paint is very good.
Krone have their faults but the dipped paint is very good. Still paint inside the chamber after 20,000 bales.
Pottinger are powder coated IIRC, and that paint work is amazingly durable. All depends on the prep work, I think both these have about 20 different acid dip preps etc.

It’s looks ok on mine. The Ali welds on the dividers is very good.

Have to say it was near silent behind the truck compared to the old one.
Ifor welds look like machine welds but the nugent looks like someones had a go with big dabs of weld. I wish the ifors had the ramp fastener the nugent has and the nugent does look stronger.

I’m going to have a good look tomorrow now...😂.

Still think it’s a far better trailer than an ifor.
