Not sure how much is under the sheds but 2/3 rings of the slurry store are full and it was completely empty in September. We did think about pumping a bit out this week but I took the quad in the field to pick up a fence and nearly got stuck 🙄🙄🙄

In answer, one pit is full again, pumped 3 weeks ago, main store is 60% full and we’ll pump soon to get through winter. Applying presently for a new lagoon, 1.5m gallons extra, should Wales go NVZ.

About 75% full, but no fuller than it was at end of Oct. some slurry gone on grass now sown with wheat, plus a bit put on grass with trailing shoe as sheep clear fields.

Some yoke of infrastructure!
Were maybe 25% full. Will last until......rain dependant. Would happily apply some with the dribble bar in jan if the weather is set.
It was a weeping wall system built with a grant(I think) in the 90s. It was supposed to weep into two concrete tanks that a Briggs then spread through out the yr. it never weeped very well and gave me sleepless nights from March onwards until we dumped the whole lot on maize stubbles 😩🙈🙉🙊 those were the days.

our EA nerd, is now extremely worried we wont have our 5 months storage, oct, wanted us to empty it, and pay a surveyor to internally measure it, because his 'manager' told him not to worry about it, and not to measure it. We have dug a ditch around the farm, as last year run-off was a problem, and we are doing the gutters, which, according to his boss, was 73% of lagoon, and our contingency plan, is 100 acres not in an NVZ. Also, the lagoon has 4 months of shite in there already, and should comfortably hold another 4 months at least. The problem we have, is, he cannot quite understand this, mainly because, our measurement of the lagoons area, his bosses measurement, their promar free visit man's measurements, are virtually the same, but don't agree with his measurements from the aerial photo's, and it's quite obvious he is not going to drop the issue. We are beginning to get rather fed up, certainly object to every communication, promoting gay bglt whatever it is, not pro, or anti, just object to having it prominent in all communications, as an 'extra' to normal EA letters. What can we do next ? I don't think throwing him in it, is appropriate, alas.

Grants on pits are coming back into fashion I hear

Timelines are interesting. Been talking to ADAS and they currently have very little idea how to design a lagoon to the spec.
Building designer says lagoon planning is taking about 12 months after natural England get involved with reports. And grants due from 2022.
So you don't know how to design it yet and if you did you would only just make the first tranche if you started planning now.

Our guy up here isn’t keen on lagoons full stop due to ammonia regs/covering them. Tower was no issue with planners, 28 day job.

I’m about 1/3 full here.

You do seem to get your share of inspectors and then some. You are doing the region a service as they are too busy trying to deal with you to chase or hound anyone else?!

That is a very similar design/idea to the one used by a friend of mine though he has no separator or weeping wall arrangement: it's just a concrete lined hole in the ground you can drive into.

I must say your gaff is very tidy, often when someone says the line: 'milk from grass' I tend to conjure up a very different image. Your picture shows me how wrong that is.

PS, can my wife have 5 tonnes of separated solids for our compost bin? You should be selling that to your local allotment crew.
