Looking at a set Bridgestone VF 710 70 42. Not had any experience with VF tyres and choose is limited at its a new build tractor so only being offered Bridgestone or Michelin in VF. I could put a set of non VF 710s on and change them to a set of VF of my choice and sell the non VF ones

We have a set of Bridgestone VF 710/70R38+600/65R28 on a 724, they replaced the original Trelleborgs that had gone home in the sidewalls. Been on for 18 months and so far very pleased with them.

Tho when you say VF what is the tractor doing?

Which version of vf is being offered?
Tractor is a jd 6250r, it’s a arable tractor, 6 furrow mounted plough, 4m alpego as4 combi drill, 4200kg hopper on the Fert spreader and other cultivation work. Bridgestone are vx tractor and Michelin are axiobib 2

What’s the price difference and what would be your tyre of choice?

Bridgestone VT are the VF tyres, better weight carrying capability than Michelin or Trelleborg.
I was always Michelin minded but looking at these now. The Mach x bib is lagging behind now

Bought a new set of Bridgestone 710 VF's from Peter Shepherd Tyres (Durham) last spring, he was well priced.
Tyres barely left a foot print on worked ground, and they also need less alteration of pressures compared to the XeoBibs we have on the other tractor.

That’s because a Mach xbib isn’t a VF type you need to go to xeobib or axiobib 2 tyre which is a brilliant tyre

Limited sizes available on Axiobib 2 though.
Common 200hp tractor sizes 650/75R38 and 710/70R38 not available in Axiobib2
Looking at Bridgestone of these sizes circa 5.5t @1bar 60km/hr Mich at least 1t less

For axiobib 2 go 710/60R42 but I see your point having looked at charts the Bridgestone seems to be far better load ratings. We run 600/70R30 Bridgestone on sprayer after 2100 hours no issues at all been brilliant

Pay the extra and put a set of Michelin vf on from new. There ultraflex technology is brilliant and worth every penny
The Michelin’s that came on my new valtra t254 are as soft as butter , never before have I seen tyres wear as quick. For me to use Michelin again I would need to get them free , any cheap brand will last longer. They are a disgrace , my advice to anyone buying a new tractor is to make sure it does not come with Michelin’s on it.

Will that cost more than €20?
