Got f**k all to do with the EU!

Westminster voted against country of origin labelling being law - gave Tesco et all the green light to pull sh*t like this.

So thats your own governments doing - whether the 'drawbridge' is pulled up or not

We have plenty of land in the UK that grows good carrots. We won’t/don’t need them from Spain.
Both sides of my family grew 1,000‘s of tons of them before we joined the EEC.
That also goes for Potatoes, Parsnips, Onions and Celery.
Pull up that drawbridge!

Like most things EU, the labeling laws have a hole you can march coach and horses through. The ' Place of Provenance ' conveniently allows for food to change nationality if it's from "the country where the product last underwent substantial, economically justified processing. " However, the law on labeling is supposed to protect the buyers from being misled, so the " Country of Origin " should be clear to the buyer, which is usually somewhere in small print to tick the box.

The whole thing is a sham and con, has been for years.
