IF you can get a Yamaha 450... expect electrical issues relating to the fuel pump. It will leave you totally stranded. Good bike but almost every bike goes down.

Suzuki 500 is a lot of bike for the money, very happy with them but oldest one is only a year old so too soon to say how it'll last. Easily the nicest bike I sat on when I looked.
Honda 520 is supposed to be good... but it's still a Honda so got all the poor designs and is expensive for what it is IMO

CanAm did nothing for me. They have issues just like the rest - but like the rest, plenty get on fine with them.

Just buy whichever one you like, that you can get a price on you're happy to pay for it.

Nothing to do with popularity. Go to any dealer its the same story. Every manufacturer is in the same boat. Industry in the US is buggered with this virus and supply has dried up...
Not what I heard lol I heard they selling so many in Canada they no spare to send here , if trade was buggerd over their they would be sending them here two deep surely .

You've been spun a PR line
Go talk to other dealers you'll soon get what's going on.

I said industry, not trade. The factories are well down on production but sales/demands have maintained. Yamaha knew back in October there would be no new shipments of bikes until March. - they were robbing parts off stock bikes as it was quicker than waiting on new parts coming from USA. Honda similar. Suzuki were down to a handful new bikes in UK in September.

Tried a can am 450 a few years ago but it was hellish noisy. Bought a 500 suzuki 3 years ago. Now have a 800 can am buggy and considering replacing the 500 quad with a 570 can am. Is it any quieter as the 450 i tried or same engine?

We had a 450 for about 6 months, horrible noisy thing. Changed it to a 570 and it is like night and day, lovely and smooth and quiet.

Ideal, need to take the buggy for a service. Might try and get a 570 home for a play. How much is a 570 with power steering? Think another 500 suzuki is £7000.

big thing is alot of the bigger cc bikes can't get the power to the ground good for. hooning around but hook a weight on them and they will spin

The 2 best quads of the last 20 years:

Suzuki 500 2009 to 2019

Honda Forman 500 auto 2005 to 2017

Have tried them all and you will have to go a long way to beat either of these, sad both went out of production.

The 2019-onwards Suzuki 500 is still the same bike, under new plastics (and a slightly updated chassis)...

The Honda 500 over that 12 year period is 3 different bikes, all redesigned from the ground up :ROFLMAO:

You're correct, 2017 should read 2012. Apart from the addition of EPS, there was little change. Funny you should mention the chassis, that's the bit that lets the Suzuki down compared to its pervious model, and a different steering setup. These bikes aren't designed for our market or uses and often changes reflect this.

We had a Yam 450 for a number of years and it was excellent. When we tried to get another (61 reg) they didn’t have any but were selling the 550 for the same price. It has also been excellent. I would buy another. I just wish they did one in Kenny Roberts colours, the yellow and black parallelograms just like my 1976 Fizzy moped! A nod to the Yamaha OW31 racer, the most powerful bike of its time I believe.
