Hexham store lambs off the clock today. Couldn’t get a look in. Anything half decent was £98-102. Even the real rubbish was making £85-90!

Thing is if gets to £6 expensive stores lambs will start coming in line, so people will start pushing them out maybe quicker than planned, so prices might hold steady but it would make them dearer later.

I think that’s what will always limit the price, I personally wouldn’t sell my ewe lambs for £200 as they’re worth too much to me.

Does anyone know what the figures are for kill numbers up to date, compared to last years?

If there fleshy and over a good weight there better away. But they must be less about as alot would be killed leading up to brexit day incase there was a no deal. Hopefully the price for sheep meat world wide is final going to come to the UK, if there's less sub going, price will need to be 100£+ anyways. That's the way it should be anyway.

Thumbs down from me I'm afraid..... I hate sheep but I wouldn't want my poor beggers to bleed out to death for the sake of a couple of extra quid.... And if your Saleing that close to the wind then maybe you've bitten off more than u can choose......

Its not like the autumn sales now..
