Would genuinely be a good gesture to growers if they did. Might even persuade me to grow again this year. I would imagine that there will be some excuse for the fund being needed within British sugar to cover the reduced sugar produced this year.
The quote says 'no flowering crop is to be planted within 22 months of the sugar beet crop, and no oilseed rape crop is to be planted within 32 months', so is that from drilling or not?

I don’t think so. It will be less effective than before due to lower ai rate and much much much higher background virus pressure IMO. Also this won’t solve the cercospora issue
I don't think there'll be too many jumping back, a few maybe but not the masses and I don't think many will be upping what they grow especially with cereal prices looking good for next year.
How do people see the future of beet. Surely unless the price rises the future looks bleak.
