That's not a ratchet. It's a bracket so you can put in nut in the open end without it falling through.

I have a set of Halfords, a set of Britool normal combination and a set of Britool that has 2 sizes per end. They all have their uses depending on the job in hand. Ideally they all stay in the cabinet though and I use the impact gun
I’m not sold on them myself but thought it worth sharing. Some of my spanners managed to grow legs and walk during the autumn so am on the look out for a set as it seems better value to buy a full set than replace what’s missing. Likely end up with Teng or perhaps Halfords professional, I really rate elora spanner’s but those will have to wait for a lottery win !

The big issue I find is that none of the clamps adequately restrain the cable out of the back, so as the cable flexes the strands break. I'm forever reterminating the ends!
