Best Bale Size To Sell

Somebody will know the easiest bale size to sell and use as were looking at square baling instead of round baling.

What size tractor is it going on?
That can determine a lot.
I'd go for 1200 wide if they are going on lorries, 4 strings are a bit of a pain IMO.

We've just got a 5200 Claas which has a 1200 x 700 chamber.
We only have 180hp so any bigger wasn't an option.
I also like a 700 deep bale as I can get 2 of them in the bedder at once.

We have a 120x70 also I think it’s a happy medium for most people. Small farmers or horse people can carry wads but they can be put on a lorry efficiently and carted easily. We do the baling for someone who’s had a shed fire and has been buying 120x90s and is moaning they only get one on the chopper and the strings are hard to get. Also we do them 2.8 m long so with 2 bales you can really fill the chopper and 4 fit across a 40ft shed and trailer

What would u suggest then

It depends on the type of customer and what you're baling. Straw for carrot farmers - big squares; hay for horses - conventional squares; silage for crofters and livestock farmers - 4x4 rounds. Given that you haven't told us what you're baling or who the intended customer is, I'm sorry but I can't offer any informed advice.
