2013 most dangerous jobs in America.

Farming, ranch work, and other agriculture jobs ranked number 8 in the US. I'd like to know what the ranking is in the UK and what have people done to make it safer for people to work their farmers. Just a good 'Ol fashion job safety thread.

In terms of accidents per thousand people employed say, number one was always construction followed by agriculture I believe. It may have changed in the last few years as the health and safety brigade have been doing their utmost to prevent all the brickies and such like from earning their Darwin Awards!

depends how you read the stats as with everything statistics can be bent to fit your point of view farming is 2nd to construction in the amount of deaths

Having watched "Axmen" no 1 is no surprise. It's a miracle that anyone lives long enough to even see middle age. No 3 is a bit worrying, I think I will stick to trains in the future.

In reality it's difficult to say in the UK other than farming, scaffolding, construction and fishing are normally in the top ten.
