Has anyone used one? I like the idea of more capacity and safety but is it worth the extra investment?

Yes, compactor works well and had a lot more weight than compared to our normal trailers. Pushes a load off quicker than you can tip and lower a trailer. Rear stear makes life easier in tight gateways. Negative for me would be it is top heavy even empty so would not be keen for a young 50k everywhere pilot loose with it.
We have a couple at work,good trailers and a lot better than the hispec compacters we also have which are very unstable

Not all young are 50k everywhere!
Son used one for a while last autumn , was very impressed with it.
Did load up some rye and move across the yard, suffice to say you wouldn't have much of a licence left if VOSA stopped you!
Any rough ideas of price?
Like the concept and be ideal on flat land but I feel they perhaps not be ideal for steeper ground constantly pushing the load back would make the drawbar light , with the front of the trailer being loaded last and reduce grip.
On steeper ground we always loaded the front first to get some weight on the back wheels for better grip but I am sure you would get used to it and work round it and load appropriately for the conditions as you progress across certain parts of the field.
Certainly be a godsend on long hauls and save a few roofs on the devils work which are inside pits built 60 years ago when trailers were much lower tipping affairs.

Load the front, then when he's loaded half of the back push it back , then load the front and compact, then some on the back and so forth.
It can push it out the front put its wasted on the floor.
Don't compact if the tail gate open ! Red light has to be off!

Was a ktwo one on eBay looked a full spec with forced steer and a weigher. We nearly bought a hispec until we seen it the running gear on it’s a disaster nowhere near heavy enough
