I was in the same boat a couple years ago, bought a F5500 McHale 22k bales at the time. Came with a new set of chains when I bought it. Very easy operated/maintained. Have a mechanic give it a once over before the season and away it goes. Only issue I've had in the 3 years is a blockage in the auto-oiler., and possibly a roller bearing needing changed for this season. I mainly bale hay and haylage with it, makes a perfect bale for my needs-not too heavy nor too big. Have also baled straw and dry silage with it and again no issues!
If you can find a decent McHale, with a sensible bale count, go for it. Finding one may be the issue.

I have a new model Kuhn which is good and simple too which is no bad thing. Cocon were bought out by Kuhn a few years ago so depending on budget a vivons from early to mid 2000’s would be ok. Avoid John Deere, New Holland belt balers are ok too.

No sorry i don't, my experience is with the belt balers. i went from belt baler to roller baler and then straight back to belt baler as personally i did not like the bale produced by the roller baler. The Kuhn baler inherited the Vicon rotor and put it on all the balers they produce as far as i know. It is in my opinion the best rotor on the market. To my mind 21k bales is only just run in, with new chains to boot it should be a good farmer baler for quite a while!
