Yes, but early 90's. Engineering but had lectures off Piggy.

Was Bomber Bradley still there then?
Many of our mech lectures were given by Phil Thirtle (Full Throttle) and Pete (Issac) Hunt.
Phil might have left by the time you are there. He went to work for Farm Force in Yorkshire. I met him again after college at Farm Gorce when I visited the factory before buying a drill from them.
Paul (Hippo) Hemingway was also there in our first year but he left to pursue a career with JCB.

Dont recall any of the guys youmention other than Paul Hemmingway who was our course tutor. He did leave for JCB but not until 91?

Odd to think that a high percentage of those students are now grandparents

I am in pic 2 c/w hair
Not odd at all. We’ve all got older a tad faster than we thought back in those days. We had a Lackham reunion for the 1977 year (my last year being ‘79) back in 2017 and within about 10 mins I was back to a 19 year old student again. Hearing old friends part life stories was amazing and to be honest where those 40! years had gone, I’ve no idea!!

Bsc 86-90 (although most of it was a blur). Bomber was there then, as was Phil Thirtle, although he may have left in our last year. I believe he designed the star shaped cleaning wheel for flexicoil presses, and I remember him saying he got a royalty of 1pence/unit, which added up to quite a sum! Good days, lord knows how I got a 2:2
