whats he said thats 'insulting' :scratchhead:

Most seem to object to him calling everyday farmers “backstabbers” just because they don’t agree with him or Red Tractor.

Neither is Blenkiron as far as i know he is just the hired help. No skin of his own in the game.. And he is of course looking to feather his own nest with a cushy well paid job in the RT mafia
The FW should give him his marching orders and get a real Farmer to write a coloum.

Whilst his tone was very condescending, I don't think we should discriminate between farm owners and farm managers. The latter are very often much more clued up than the former, but simply weren't born into the right family.

Not my intention Daniel i agree that many farm managers are probably the best you can get and generate way more income for the farms the manage than the cost.
Its a pity that the opportunites are not there for them to get into farming on their own bat but thats a subject for another day .......
Blenkiron is not one of these he is just a mouthy pr*ck who would starve if he had to make his living of a couple of hundred acres and knows little about the reality of smaller farming not " estate management " .

Apparently he is from a family farming background. Sadly he does not appear in touch with the challenged faced by many family farms, let alone at a human level. Certainly seems a fan of committees and quangos.

The best bit about this thread is this clause which will be in his contract for bringing Red Tractor into disrepute will require the following:

If employers suspect an individual’s actions have brought the company into disrepute they should refrain from making an immediate decision to dismiss and instead carry out a full investigation. For the investigation employers should look to gather sufficient evidence, which may be easy to find if it relates to comments made online, or take statements from individuals who were witness to any alleged misconduct. The individual in question should also be allowed an opportunity to review the evidence and offer a response to the allegations levelled against them.

This thread is all the evidence they need in terms of evidence.
