Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

I would agree, hard to believe that watching some lads trying to fit some lights can be far more entertaining than all rest of TV.
It’s because it’s much more real and you can relate, I’m not sure how he is so high spirited with what’s going on with his wife

Yeah he still seems pretty upbeat, as you say it's relatable, Dougo spending 2 days on lights and still not working 100% is exactly the sort of thing that happens here.

Olly Farms channel is such a disgrace it becomes a bit addictive to watch. The latest video is basically asking the audience if he should get a new Toyota Hilux or Land Rover Defender. He then sets a poll for people to answer.

Then says hes not going to be sure which one is better until he gets a demo from Toyota UK. Ah like what rubbish.

Poor cherry attachments were called out in another video basically being asked to deliver bale handlers before a certain day that week so he could go contracting with them. He is using these companies left, right and centre to get free demos and big deals. Id love to know what he says on the phone to them.

Also watched a video recently, he got an awful slating in it about wheres he getting all the money to buy the new machinery. All negative comments were deleted later on.

It’ll be interesting to see if Tom Pemberton and the Ginge get anywhere with the environment agency. He’s had some good videos on the Lytham flood defence setup where he’s calling out the EA. Wouldn’t be surprised if they act as the social media attention shows them in very poor light.

Tom and his father have played it really well so far , be interesting to see what comes of it ? The whole system looks starved of maintenance and badly managed.

Ive just subscribed and watched a few of Ollys farm.
Fair play as he has 89,000 subscribers?? he actually comes across as a nice guy. It would be ideal to show some of his videos (not the ones filming while driving!) to school children. It may help to get them interested in Ag as a career path.
All hail the mighty UP!

It's interesting seeing something so common as a telehandler over here, be something quite new and novel to someone else.
Also a shoutout to this threads favourite Olly's Farm at 3:34

I was surprised by their surprise about a telehandler. Brian didn't even know what to call it. Apart from Farm fixing and fabrication none of them has one at all.

To have a JCB dealer network out there though must mean that some are sold surely?

The local Claas dealer to us had a JCB franchise too (Hoxie, KS)

I guess there are some Fastracs around. At least one of the custom chopping crews use them in the Midwest, also now the larger Fastracs are up to 330hp they are a viable option for custom harvest crews running 1000bu/30t grain chasers with the bonus that they don't need hauling between stops. We saw Beckley Harvesting had at least 1 in 2018. I've also seen a few on Youtube over in the East running the Fastracs, but not so many telehandlers. Perhaps more of the larger wheeled loaders are used?

We did come across one of these in Colorado when we needed something to change a final drive with in the field, borrowed from a local farmer. Was the last thing I expected to see!

One of these days I'll get on with a thread of pictures from my time there and stop trying to shoehorn them in to random other threads!!
