They do not offer it to most people in the UK. ( the flu jab )

Flu mutates every year so they tweak the vaccine to the variant they think will be a problem in the coming flu season, they got it badly wrong in the UK 3/4 years ago!

As for C -19, death numbers in the UK have been totally inflated by the government and in real terms the people who have died of C-19 under 50 is something like 330 out of a population in that age range of some 50 million in the UK....that tells you all you need to know about having the vaccine!

When you say not offered do you mean you can't get it or it's not free?
Most have to pay here, I think it's around $20 which is half the cost of a doctors visit. A lot of companies will organise and pay for a shot for their staff though.

Anyone with respiratory risk can get it foc from the NHS. Anyone else can go to a local chemist shop and buy it - about £5-10. Plenty larger employers will offer it to staff too, plus most children in lower years will get one from the school.

You sure Sturgeon will let you in on June 21st. The Parish Council Chairman has been the Queen of lockdown. My wife had hoped to go to Perthshire in April but looks unlikely now

I am certainly not healthy as i have two very severe life affecting and life long severe chronic health conditions but the plus point is that i am many years younger than 60!

As for the vaccine, it may well make my chronic health problems a lot worse if i have the vaccine thus i am waiting to see what the medical advice is nearer the time when i can have the jab before deciding either way!
All the under 50's with a chronic health problem should have had their offer letter over 3 weeks ago.
Majority will have had their vaccination as well.
All those locally here in the same group as you , majority of which have been shielding and not going out multiple times a week, have been to Lords Meadow and been jabbed.

You haven't even been offered the jab?

@Hindsight Lincolnshire County show 23 and 24 June. Personally I will consider nearer the time but I can see masks and rubber gloves being part of the scene at that event! I really do not know wether I would want to be part of the bun fight!!

Watching Hancock on TV this morning it's quite hard to keep my Breakfast down. By the 15th of May you will be allowed to hug a relative! how on earth have people allowed the Government to get away with this.
Best not to watch if you want to retain your sanity and faith in your fellow humans.
People comply and enjoy the war analogy bs

As an exhibitor at national events I would say it’s too early to consider mass gatherings of folks whether that be regional or National. Even the outdoor events present an element of risk as folk won’t keep 2m apart and as farming is by its very nature an isolated environment, how many want to risk coming to large events until all have been vaccinated and we really see where the pandemic is in the Autumn. As the experts have said this is with us for a long time ahead so we have to be careful and sensible before we all return to some kind of normal.

@Daddy Pig It is not unusual for me to wear gloves as I have an allergy to UV or Sunlight that I have had all my life. So an excuse to wear gloves will be ace!! I have tried all sorts of gloves over the years but have settled for fly fishing light weight gloves which do not look to obvious at shows so those thin opaque plastic things may be the answer.
