Just got email from supplier to say price increase 15.5% and not able to confirm any delivery date due to delays in raw material.
Anyone else had this in the last week or so ?

Materials are rising but if you had your shed ordered and price agreed then any material rise after the agreement date should be at the risk of the fabricator. Most fabricators will book there material slot soon after a deal is done which fixes the price in for them

In a way I'm not surprised

Steel prices for production items at work going up weekly, some used-to-be-common items not even available

Timber commodity markets going stupid. Certain sizes up 40% since November although I'm hoping that will right itself when the Trump embargoes on buying stop neutralising all the Swedish stocks

Funny how other industries work. If fertiliser and machinery prices go up, we don't get to increase prices.

I'd be studying the terms and conditions of first quote.
I can see your point but building supplier quotes to us are now valid for 7 days

There are some horrific commodity hikes at present. Hopefully commercial supply and demand pressures will settle things down again soon

Would be jumping mad especially if I had paid deposit and had a confirmation of purchase note, would definitely be going through all the paperwork I had up until this point but do know prices are escalating quickly

We have bought a shed this week off our local man hopefully at old price because he’s got steel in stock and bought it at cheaper rate he’s got the steel for perlins but can’t get cladding so we might not get any cladding maybe but I’ll leave it to him. He’s done a lot of sheds for us in the past

Had some fat away on Monday. The fat price has to increase. Weren't much more than £100 over store price. Our best lot of stores came to 1310 522kg.
Mine last week were £1240 at 560kg but it was the worst of a batch sold in October , kept Cos it would have made bugger all in October , worth keeping .

Our best 3 made £1360 last Friday, around the 500kg but pure lim,not really pushed,on silage until 6 weeks ago then shovelled meal into them as it looked as if it would pay.
