They'll want to be careful not to allow a precedent.......however I can see a few more landowners being minded to do works after this. If 10-20 decided to do it at once then it would drive a coach and horses through things.

I agree with @quattro, I expect that one by one they’ll drop their case. That way they’ll hope that it quietly gets forgotten about, as you say if they all dropped it at once it would set a precedent. I suspect they’ll drag it out over years so that it has the least impact and also keep Mr Price in suspense hoping that the worry/stress will curtail him from repeating the job without having to defend their untenable position.

So now the EA are telling the residents of Bewdley that the temporary flood barriers that they stick up to try to stop flooding in the town are too dangerous so they're not putting them up again. Bewdley might get proper flood barriers by 2024 and until then they're on their own!
