I had a demo direct drive for a day ploughing at my neighbours, thought it was poor. Dyna6 felt better
A lot of it is down to the understanding of the gearbox as there is nothing like the Dyna E-power on the market. The closest thing is the JD AutoPowr which is a CVT gearbox. Yes, there will be a place for both the Dyna E-Power and Dyna VT in the future.Thats not the point its still got fixed ratios & plenty who have used various CVTs for years n years will still want a CVT regardless.
Not identifying on the side of these 8S which gbox they have seems odd as well seeing every massey since the 3000 series had either dynashift or then power control or dyna-6 or dyna-vt stamped on every single model & now they dropped it. folks on the used market will be clueless 5 years down the line as too what gbox is in them at a passing glance anyways.
the D7 & E-power might be brilliant & poss swing those away from a more power hungry CVT i dunno, only time will tell.
ive had myself every gbox massey has offered other the last 30years now & the Dyna-vt is by far the best end of.
A Dyna E-Power is not the same thing as a direct drive... The E-Power was twin clutch's on the range box on the powershiftsI had a demo direct drive for a day ploughing at my neighbours, thought it was poor. Dyna6 felt better

As far as I'm aware, the Direct Drive JD has the dual clutch on the powershift steps, meaning there is still a break in drive between ranges.
The Dyna E-Power has a dual clutch on the range change, meaning there is no break in drive through all 28 gears. In the main working range it alternates between 2nd and 3rd range on every shift to give very small steps between gears (i.e. 2A, 3A, 2B, 3B and so on...)
Same as Case/NH, Active 8/DC ?So it is very much the same as a direct Drive except there's no noticable range change... Right....
Tractorman will have to explain how that means there is "nothing like the Dyna E-power on the market" because that's essentially the same thing.

Yep nearly always resorts to the same repeated themes. I was interested in what people thought of this new machine too ...So 10 pages in and 2 people haveing a demo all caught up now op
Can’t be a coincidence but scoop has brought one your way is that you or who you work for?auto command new Holland gone here for 8s should be here in next couple days [emoji15][emoji51] not sure if I’ll cope with gears again but we will see...
Fendt break down too even brand new ones.

Maybe it was one of those 29 mpg engines so Fendt had to swap it out.3400hours and a new engine In this one
DD isnt all plain sailing like they all tell you neither.its like the green brigade with the dd transmission "oh yeah drives like a vario" ffs its just a smooth 21 speed transmission
i watched yes i know a right sad O iam a recent Massey Video explaining some of the difference between the two versions of that 28 FIXED gear trans !!A lot of it is down to the understanding of the gearbox as there is nothing like the Dyna E-power on the market. I do agree a decal would be good to have on the bonnet
you do realise the New Engine isnt normally a full new engineView attachment 9445933400hours and a new engine In this one
