Massey is a very nice tractor, go very well, but the ones I've experienced seem to constantly have silly problems,

Never used a Deutz.

As most know Case and NH share the same engines and transmissions, however I do swing towards Case in terms of finish, ergonomics and operation. Our Cases have been very good for us, along with a good dealer which is why we've stuck with them.

Are you looking for a small frame 6 pot or a large frame 4 pot? Plenty of choice and specs.

Just been quoted the same money for an ex demo puma cvx 175 as a new maxxum 150 power shift.
What models do you run?
Payment terms and warranty are the best I've been offered so far

Is that the old shape Puma? (big square bonnet). I can imagine you would get a very good deal on ex demo compared to a new build.

We currently run a Maxxum 110 Multicontroller, semi powershift, a Maxxum 130CVX and have a Maxxum 145CVX on the way. We've had good terms offered but do look into/ask about the warranty side....

No brainier, have you tried the CVX gearbox, I’d take that over the powershift, which I have at the moment, CVX in the replacement that’s for sure, take it the demo is well spec too?

Fair point. It'd do pretty much anything from mowing, round baling and bale carting to ploughing, subsoiling and combination drilling. Thinking of going down the sumo route as we have mainly sandy loam soils but someone said this morning that the sumo is good for deep cultivation but not very good if you want to lift the legs up and only go in about 3 or 4 inches for example? CVT would be nice but not essential

Look at a Opico combi lift, can lift the legs out a bit or all the way, all from the seat, not a mounted one though

The demo is very high spec but is the older square bonnet and doesn't have front linkage or pto
Would need a bit of thinking time but I’d be tempted to go CVX gearbox and retro fit front linkage if you need it, have to say I want front linkage on all tractors now, if only to encourage dropping weight off when not needed to save the tyres. Can’t retro fit CVX, but depends if you want new new, put CVX in that maxxum and I’d bet it jumps £10k
