That's a pair of tidy machines. Are they yours @spin cycle ?
Wrong era I think you will find. Agco only recently bought welgar out and knowing @spin cycle it is likely to be of a more vintage natureI think a mf baler is really a lely welger
I prefer variable chamber with belts. Had a fixed for a season and went back to variable, very pleased I did!want a fixed chamber for density?
But then he wouldn’t have any trauma to write about, that would result in reduced likeys and we know what he is like with not enough of them@spin cycle, just my thoughts but why look at these heath Robinson balers for similar money you'll got a tidy new Holland BR and it'll do everything you want it to and probably see you out
just think of the extra time he'll have to cruise around thetford forest!!!! He might ever treat himself to a new maskBut then he wouldn’t have any trauma to write about, that would result in reduced likeys and we know what he is like with not enough of them

We've still got dads old mf 828. Been a bloody good baler in it's day. With a bit of care it would baler anything.
Greenland made the original. The basics of the machine can be seen right through to the rv1601. Only really the pick up and control box that's changed
Don't think mf have ever made a baler off their own back.
The previous generation were farmhand.
Why dont you fix the welger?no not mine......i'm normally a balers last working home......had a welgar rp150 for 12 years ....nearly burnt it 2019...big bearing went....fecked.....have a vermeer 504 bought for pennies in 2012....written it off + repaired it once but it's shite TBH......keep as a spare
don't seem able to pick up round balers cheap like you used to
Why dont you fix the welger?
It would only be the collar on it. Have you not tried yet? Undo the grub screws of which there will probably 2 and knock it round with a punch. Having said that I might be totally wrong! Hope the CS is going ok.one of those concentric type bearings on main drive....apparently they're pansies.....tried to find out about it......once ppl started mentioning scaffold poles i lost interest....plus still putting my cs back together
i do love my rp150 though....happy days baling with her.....apart from when she caught fire.....that was a bit hairy
You've just given yourself a job @robbie .....As said usually those concentric bearings are relatively easy to change as they're not right a tight fit on the shaft like some other bearings.
Two grub screws and knock the shite out of the collar with a taper punch and it'll come loose the plenty of p!ss in the shaft, perhaps a rub over with emery cloth and hay presto bobs your uncle it'll come off.
Saying that I'll probably now go and have a tractor sh!t itself and end up with a project of rebuilding an SLE boxEasy peasy, I haven't got a project in the go at the minute.
I've made a flexi coil, done the cam belt on my disco 4 last weekend, I have got the steel to make a bag lifter but I bit of baler fettling is always enjoyable
1.2 and 1.5m bales.whats difference between rp12 and rp15?.....is it true they're not the best in dry straw?
