I think I’ll wait till Toyota bring out an all electric version of the 79 Series 😁

actually, that raises an interesting point. At the moment there are vehicles you don’t get in the UK due to emissions ( such as the 79 series I believe, or Isuzu & Hilux only having the little engines in them when the rest of the world gets the better bigger ones ), well, with electric vehicles there will be no such restrictions, so that may open up a much greater range of vehicles to you

With the debate raging about female abuse, i doubt the term "Pick Up" will be acceptable for much longer.....

What a time to be alive

pick up is such a lame, limp wristed, soft cock, stupid name anyway, beloved by the Yanks & Brits . . .

of course the ONLY correct term is Ute ( short for utility vehicle, which describes the concept perfectly ). After all, WE invented the idea

Pick up. It’s a stupid f**king name & makes me cringe every time someone uses it

🤣🤣

Was it not Mr Daimler who invented the first ever pick up, then copied / modified by the others, especially Ford?

but Ford have had a lot more success selling them worldwide than Daimler has 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, they have sold more, but with their known chequered history, 'Invented' would not be a description I would use for their pickup version.

Reminds me of the Robert Kearns vs Ford Motor Company & Chrysler battle.

Looks like a well thought of pickup but I doubt it will be marketed at similar prices to diesel pickups. Probably 60k ++
Anyone know if it would be possible to tow? And a range?

torque from electric will nake towing with ICE feel very old fashioned

even if it was 60k think of the fuel savings ! Electric car is saving us 6k a year in fuel so 18k over the 3 years we will keep it or 36k if we keep it 5 year, goes a long way towards its higher purchase price

then tax, currently zero
