Here's something for you to go and inspect, Stu: Polish chicken being processed and relabeled as British with a red tractor sticker on at the old Grampian Foods site, 3 miles outside Haverhill on the A143 in Suffolk
As I've said dozens of times, I'm not involved with RT or their inspections. But this sounds like a perfect chance to use the new RT hotline thing that I've read about on here. Sounds perfect in fact. Get it rung if you believe this is what is happening. Posting it on here will get you precisely nowhere.

You're right, I should get on to trading standards who are the regulatory authority.

Several hundred pages ago I said it would be a shame if all this talk resulted in nothing more than increased posts on here (Clives commercial website). So how's the new "equal to imports" scheme setup going? How's the court case going regarding the "illegal" requirements for some UK grain to be assured? Other than sending emails, has anyone actually done anything yet?
There’s an awful lot going on to deal with the RT farmers profit reduction scheme.

beyond that I’m not privy to say!

Without any doubt, the social media noise has already forced an NFU U-turn IMO and made gold plating impossible, I also strongly suspect the AHDB 250k pa funding is rather unlikely to continue - this is all a result of social media making it clear that farmers do not see value in Red Tractor

That is not enough though and there is stuff going on in the background looking at the legality, discussions with AHDB etc

NFU are losing members over all this and are clearly under threat from others that they will leave if they don't take a strong line on this

how much of this would have happened if the internet had not existed? Frankly most would not even been aware of the consultation, never mind been in a position to make their opinions known

A bit pointless as the RT man is apparently in the factory overseeing it all!

Can't understand why red tractor are so supportive of imports to the detriment of British producers. You couldn't make it up.

NFU phoned today to talk about pensions/investments. I told them I'm currently boycotting the NFU due to their lack of support to farmers with regards to RT. I asked him to make sure he passed the message on to his boss.

i filled in the online survey on digital services and filled every comments box with anti RT comments :) ....then i ticked the box to say i'd speak to them and get paid £100.....doubt i'll get paid after i've said my piece😁

It is so obvious that Jim Mosley wants to tighten standards to benefit the processing trade from which he came, just to please his mates.
Yet we farmers are the ones paying for it!

How on earth was he allowed to become Chief exec of RT?

I wonder where and who his next employer will be?
One thing is for sure: I won’t be trading with them, whoever they are!

Yes I'll definitely in the future boycott anyone ex RT. We're talking the 2021 harvest too.
