Sorry if posted incorrectly!

On a separate note - fitting blockage sensors to our 750a - going with Digitroll - anyone had any experience with them? Think they are similar to Vaaderstadt ones.

Speaking of blackage sensors.. have you ever looked at D-Cup Diffusers? They should blow the seed out at the top when the coulter is blocked. Not sure how that works in real life. At least it is electronic free and also improves seed placement. In addition, higher fan rpms could be used.

I got a price for them and they were in the region of £100 each .

You have the whole 90 series opener for sale?

I'm potentially interested. And in the tyres

I have diffusers fitted at the moment, the ones from Needham but blockage sensors are on my list of upgrades although some may say you don't need them. This is what should be fitted, I am told will appear via isobus (plumbed into drill ecu?)..apear on the john deere in cab screen as another page. Will update when installed and used for a bit!

They work very well
Yes, product blows out the top if the seed boot is blocked

pretty much standard equipment on any Australian built airseeder planters

Although, ideally you should still keep fan speed / air pressure as low as will work without blockages. Excessive speed / pressure causes premature wear of hoses ( especially on any bends ) & can also damage certain seed types. As well as using more fuel ( excess hydraulic flow ), making more noise, & heating hydraulic oil unnecessarily

the old rule of thumb is, if you take the cap off a distributor head, the product should rise about a metre above that, at working rates & pressure. Generally about 5 - 7 Kpa ( so actually very low pressure ) is what I work on with wide planters

They aren’t very big or heavy ?

Post or freight ?

surely they wouldn’t cost $40 - $60 each to post ?

out of interest, when I get a spare moment I’ll do some research & see what the postage / freight would actually be

Then add postage to the uk .

$230 for a 20kg parcel to the UK, as an example . . .

doesnt seem that dear to me . . .

here, if you spend over $1000 direct from D-Cup, freight is free. Im sure if you were serious & contacted them, the postage / freight to the UK would still come in cheaper than the UK retail price . . .

The D-Cup is on the Sly Boss drill which is now called the Horizon DSX https://horizonagriculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/DSX-Drill-Brochure.pdf
They may sell the D-Cup separately. Talk to George Sly.

Not the same company! Horizon is redesigned and improved drill. Sly Boss was sold to Agrisem
Now they have introduced 2nd gen opener that moves the depth adjustment at the same point where the seed boot is positioned and also they have introduced pneumatic pressure control for depth wheels. Imroved closing wheels etc.
P.S. Sorry for off-topic.

I Know that and George wasn't allowed to keep his name. The openers are nearly the same. George has improved them in little ways. The new coulters etc fit onto the older design Sly Boss disc . The fame is the same but the tank has been improved.
