Finished today on all of our own land and regular contracts , starting tomorrow with 2 new customers. Having the sabretine this spring has been a godsend as most has been done straight into stale seedbeds created in the back end of 2020 .

Got 160 acre in since Saturday but I've caught up with myself so currently spreading fert on the other 180 acre so I can get on drilling tomorrow again .

It's getting very dry here but everything was ploughed in the last 3 weeks .

Seed only came last week, pulled cultivator through 1 field today, sheep still on the rape/turnips on the other, probably off tomorrow then it’s to muck and plough, will probably need a couple of good drying days before it can be worked, oats turned up this morning for 30ac puddles still in places on it 🤷🏻‍♂️

How many acres ploughed last 3 weeks?

I might look at it in early April, if it warms up a bit.

So many pheasants left grazing here by the local winkers just now that it needs to hit the ground running.😡

There might need to be a little out of season shooting done if they don’t behave, and if I get barley drilled before the neighbour starts filling his lamb creeps.

Barley in last week.
The pea seed arrived today, getting itchy feet but might leave until next week?
Linseed and quinoa, I will wait until it’s a bit warmer, aiming for 1st or 2nd week in April weather depending.
