Ok I know Gamic or Houghton are the best, can't wait for a Gamic and can't afford a Houghton, what's the best 3 axle wheels outside trailer (must have sheep decks) that's strong and most importantly got the best loading system for sheep?will be used for both cattle and sheep.
Currently have a 4 year old 3 axle Ifor so looking for other people's experiences of other makes.

If I couldn’t wait for a Gamic, I think my second choice would be a Nugent. No idea how long the lead time is on them though.

As above, I think I’d be holding off just now, in case they settle on a headroom requirement that’s 2” more than most current trailers...😡

I think there is a long lead time on most of the makes at the minute partly due to grants. Waiting on a Gamic might not be as long as you think when compared with the other makes.
IW, Porter, Falcon, Nugent would be the main makes here. porter have a good reputation, but I've no personal knowledge of them. Falcon I think got the jigs from Hudson who now concentrate on the tractor drawn trailers.
We have always had IW and they are okay. Used to be the best of the bunch, but now the gap has closed and price would dictate, not brand. There is an eternal myth that IW hold their value better, but from what I've seen recently any well maintained trailer will hold its value.

Better waiting a year than regretting it for 5

Neville Porter posted only yesterday that their waiting list is now 12 months and any trailers seen in his yard would be sold ready for a customer and they never have many s/h trailers . Quality pays, very happy with mine

On the phone with a friend a couple nights ago, he has an Ifor and was intending changing for a new one the same, back in January. At that time the dealer told him it would be at least August before he would get his new trailer if he ordered it then...

he didn't order it. But if Ifor have a lead time like that, I wouldn't expect anyone else to be much quicker sadly.
I remember when we bought our Ifor (Summer 2001), we went to the local dealer to look at them and left with the one we wanted hitched to the jeep!! Crazy how things have changed

What would your friend want? Round here could probably drive into a couple of places and drive out with trailer you wanted

14ft triple axle Ifor, with decks, wheels underneath. That's what he has so I expect when he wanted same again that's what he wanted...

The biggest Ifor dealer in Southern Scotland is where he went 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn't ask any more, we were talking about the shortage of steel, timber, building supplies etc and lead times on everything and he mentioned it
