Biden considering tariffs......

It would appear that the EU are not alone in wanting ensure the US tech companies pay their fair share of tax in the countries where they operate, I do see Billy Bunters name among those pressing for change.

I don't believe that point was actually being discussed. The inference seemed to be that this move by the Biden administration was purely aimed at screwing the UK over, because were just a minnow of a country who couldn't possibly do anything but give in to our American overlords. Only it turns out that it was an EU policy as well and hey ho, an article detailing plans by the USA to tariff against a range of goods from a range of countries.

Quite possibly. Just send a warning shot across the bows of the EU. A good idea would be to give li'l ole UK a fecking good kicking as a warning to other countries. Easy to hit a small fairly no consequential country (the UK) pour 'encourager les autres.

Think we can fair forget that 'special relationship' even if it ever existed. Anyway I am of too 'like' Meghan as she may have more say than our Billy Bunter and Liz Trussed up.
Regretting getting rid of Donald now I'll bet , a proper leader not a senile puppet like sleepy Joe

The Democrats have turned the US of Eh into a laughing stock first by selecting a candidate for president who's not fit for purpose, a vice president thats equally clueless with a biased media thats full of hypocrites and hypocrisy.
Some say Obama is pulling the strings as some refer to the current government as "Obama's 3rd term" so if there's any truth to that then that reflects badly on him.

Perhaps Putin gave them the idea and tips how to do it.

You didn’t notice Trump lauding the strength of the stock market as a proxy for his great presidency!

Well, the DOW is today at an all time high under Biden. Hey ho....

Where do you think the Dow will be when Biden goes???🤔

Up and up and away. As the US comes out of the pandemic, the only way is up, particularly with the new Administrations stimulus program in place.

It is a bit sad, TBH, that we have had 3 Presidencies now that have to do everything by executive order basically because that goon McConnell (who is an absolute crook) has halted everything all three administrations have ever done because he is in a safe seat. The bloke is a menace to democracy.

Against any country thinking about taxing US digital companies who are presently raping the rest of the world , democrat my arse

It's all about money and power.

The rest is to keep the plebs down by hook or by crook.

BLM is little more than setting one part of the population against another .. whilst the government "has" to mediate, Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

I was wondering this morning about how it is that Politicians, Lawers & Journalists are interwoven, one and the same. Lying being the common factor of course. There is always a reason why something "has" to be done according to some.

If President Biden gets that tax plan through congress I'll be a monkey's uncle. I bet it gets so watered down it never happens.

Didn't the Democrats suspend certain financial rules ? As I understand it these kind of polices are just going to be nodded through. There are no chances for amendments.

I would say all stock markets are going to crash.

The reason is obvious - production and output worldwide has slumped for over a year.

Current levels relate to cash injections by countries and positive outlook compared to what currently is a really bad situation. When reality hits the fan stocks will have to reset but by then pension funds and investors will be sucked in.

Jobless figures will rule one way or another.

You could be right, I find it difficult to see it's continued growth based solely on loss making, supposed Tech companies. When folk eventually realise that the likes of Deliveroo is just a bicycle delivery business that exploits its employees and is not a progressive high tech organisation the penny may drop on a number of these companies.
